Warranty Policy, Effective April 1, 2003
Expert
Computer International, Inc. warrants all of our electronic products
to be in good working condition for a period of one year. Should
the poduct defect any time during this warranty period, ECI will,
at this option, repair or replace the product at no additional charge
except as set forth below:
- Before
returning the defective product, please call the RMA Dept. to
request a RMA form to be faxed to you. Please fill out the form
with detailed information of the defective product and fax the
form back to ECI with the copy of original invoice that has
serial number on it. Then a RMA number will be given to you
through fax.
- For
complicated problems, please use a separate sheet to explain
the problem.
- Any
RMA package without a written RMA number on it will be refused.
The warranty does not include the service to repair the damage
resulting from accidental disaster, abuse or inappropriate operation
of the product.
- A
$20.00 handling fee plus the return freight will be charged
to the user if non-ECI product found in the RMA or there is
a "NO problem found" report on the returned product.
- All
RMA items must be well-packed. Products damaged due to the inappropriate
packaging are subject to additional charge for handling and
recovering.
- Products
short in parts such as memory or BIOS on board will not be accepted
for RMA.
- Product
received "Dead on Arrival" must be reported within
7 days upon receipt of the shipment and must be received by
ECI within 2 weeks. Error shipment or shortage of parts must
be reported within 3 days.
- Replacement
will be made upon receiving of the original product.
- RMA
numbers are only good for 10 days from the date of issuing.
- On
return and exchange, it will be made within 14 days from the
date purchase with package unopned (original seal).14-30 days
refund and exchange will be made by 15% restocking fee will
be charged (even woth unopned original seal). Beyond 30 days,
repair only no exchange or refund.
- All
RMA packages must come with a detail packing list which indicates
the numbers of each product and their serial numbers.
- All
returned merchandise must be accompanied by a copy of the invoice,
and the RMA number must be written on the mailing label. Serial
number of return goods must match those on invoice.
- Expert
Computer International reserves the right to delay replacement
of an item until the replacement is returned from the vendor.
- All
returns must be shipped prepaid. No CODs will be accepted.
- Your
original receipt is required and a valid ID may be required
for all returns, exchange, and warranty repair services.
- If
ANY item is returned with any of the original package contents
missing, full purchase price will not be refunded.
Limited
Warranty
All hardware products delivered by Expert
Computer International are warranted for one year unless otherwise
provided in those written warranties. During this period Expert
Computer International warranties the product to be free from defects
in material and labor under normal use and service. This limited
warranty is contingent upon proper use of the product in question
and does not cover products which have modified or which have been
subjected to unusual physical or electrical stresses.
There
is no return on CPU and memory products. The warranty period for
repairing is 15 days.
LIMITATION
OF LIABILITY: Expert computer International
will not be responsible for consequential damages to a system or
its components that are caused by either internal or external equipment,
shorted connections or components. Expert
Computer International shall not be liable for damage to painted
surfaces or keyboard keys due to physical abuse, or excessive use
of liquids or chemicals or those that are spilled inside a system
including oxidation or corrosion to components by exposure to salt
air or adverse environmental conditions.
The
limited warranty also does not cover any losses or damages that
may occur as a result of:
Shipping
or improper installation or maintenance.
Misuse, neglect or improper environment.
Any repair, modification, adjustment, or installation of options
or parts by anyone other than an Expert
Computer International authorized service person.
Excessive or inadequate electrical power surges, or other irregularities.
Refurbished Laptop Warranty
- No
return will be accepted on notebook sales, only for exchange
or repair.
- All
notebooks, except for batteries, are for 30 days warranty of
parts and labor.
- NO
warranty on batteries.
- Defective
units after received by buyer may be exchanged with other units
within 15 day.
- Physical
damages and scratches are not covered by warranty.
